Only a few minutes walk from Casa Hugo, Vivenda Miranda is just beautiful - the setting, the staff, the views... and the food is next-level wonderful. Highly recommended!

On the roof of the Carvi Hotel Luca's offers amazing fish and meat and wonderful service PLUS an amazing rooftop view over Praia Dona Ana. There's loads of free parking outside

15 minutes drive away is Praia da Luz, a sleepy little former fishing village with a totally different vibe to Lagos. Boaty's is a Tapas/Petiscos restaurant with tables on the promenade overlooking the beach. Super-chilled! Love it!

Pie! On holiday? YES! Honestly, you need to try it - absolutely awesome custom-made pies, specials, cocktails and their own Tropical craft beers. Arrive hungry! Steak with extra Mushrooms, Kidney and Blue Cheese please... or try the Fish Pie... or... or...

Your local beach restaurant and bar - drinks, snacks and ice creams nearest the promenade with a new shaded area for sunset watching, elegant indoor dining next, or go right through to the far end for more informal outside dining. Freshest fish, awesomest banoffee pie (get there early) and friendly service 

Oops. That should say Casa do Prego ;-) Mediterranean food with a contemporary twist served with style. Chilled almost-Caribbean vibes. Staff are ultra-friendly. Probably our favourite restaurant in Lagos. Love it! Try and book - there will usually be queues out of the door in spring/summer

In our view the best steak in Lagos. The fillet is one of the best we've eaten and for the quality it is serious value. Great staff and great homemade desserts!

Sit here enjoying freshly grilled fish, looking over the sand dunes and watching the waves and you'll feel at one with the world. A chilled-out old-school beach bar with great food. Head down the newly-resurfaced Meia Praia road (or along the new boardwalk) until you see two beach bars near each other. Berlim is on the right
